Tips for using Convection oven

  1. Place the food or drink inside the convection microwave oven. If you use the microwave setting, remember to use the microwave-friendly container. If you use the combination setting, you need to use the heat-resistant container. Then, if you use the convection setting, you can use a metal roasting pan or other metallic containers. Then, close the oven door.
  2. Use a dark, dull aluminum or steel pan if you're cooking something that you want well browned; pick shiny pans for less browning. You may also use glass dishes if you wish.
  3. Preheat the oven. If you use the combination or the convection cooking, you need to preheat the oven first.
  4. Place the pan in the oven once the oven is done preheating. Leave the pan uncovered.
  5. Set the timer. Locate the timer setting or the timer knob and set the oven according to what you want. If the convection microwave oven has a digital display, you can tap the timer button and enter the minute and second using the number pad. However, for the analog one, you need to set the timer manually.
  6. Set a timer for 25 percent less time than your recipe calls for. Some cooking experts recommend either reducing the oven temperature or the cooking time, but reducing both is a smart idea when you're getting the hang of cooking in a convection oven.
  7. Press the start or cook button.
  8. When the timer goes off, open the oven door and take the food using the potholder or the heat-resistant glove.
