Basil Tea
Ingredients
- Milk - 1 cup
- Water - 1.5 cup
- Tea Leaves - 2 tsp
- Tulsi Leaves - 10-15 (or 1 tsp dried leaves)
- Ginger - 1/2 " piece
- Sugar - 2 tbsp
Method
- Crush the tulsi leaves and ginger using mortar and mixie.
- Take this crushed leaves and ginger with water in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Add tea leaves and boil again. Let it simmer for 2 minutes for all the flavours to seep into the water.Add milk and sugar at this stage.
- When it starts to boil over, reduce the flame. Simmer for couple of minutes on low flame.
- Switch off when you get the desired colour of the tea.Strain using a tea strainer into 2 cups. Have it hot.
- It is a perfect remedy for sore throat and seasonal allergies. Have a cup of this Tulsi tea during rainy days or winter days to keep all alergies at bay.
