Poha Pulao(diet)

 Ingredients

  • Poha - 1 cup (beaten rice)
  • Onion - 1
  • Green chilli - 1
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt needed
  • Carrot - 1 small
  • Potato - 1/2 a potato
  • Beans - 3-4
  • Cabbage - 1/4 cup
  • Peas - 1/4 cup (cooked)
  • Cauliflower -4 florets (optional)
  • Oil - 2-3 tsp
  • Cinnamon -1 small bit
  • Cloves -2
Method
  1. Wash Poha under running water 2-3 times and drain the water in a colander. Fluff it with a fork and keep it aside.
  2. Finely chop onions and green chillies. Chop all the vegetables and keep it ready.
  3. Heat 2 tsp of oil in a pan, add cinnamon and cloves. Then add finely chopped onions and saute until onions turn transparent.
  4. Now add finely chopped green chillies and ginger-garlic paste .Saute for few more minutes.
  5. Then add all the vegetables, salt needed and cook until soft. After the vegetables are cooked, add the poha and mix gently.
  6. If you have bought the thick variety poha, sprinkle a little water and cook covered for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Now your poha Pulao is ready to be served.
