Palak (Spinach) moong dal dry fry Recipe | North Indian style
Ingredients
- 1 Cup yellow moong dal
- 1 Bunch of spinach
- 1 Tsp Turmeric powder (haldi)
- 1 Tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 Tsp Mustard seeds
- 1 Tsp Chilli Powder
- 1 Big onion sliced
- 4 Tbsp Oil
- Salt to taste
- Chopped Curry Leaves
Preparation Method
- Wash the bunch of spinach and chopped .Add salt and chilli powder. Mix well with spinach and leave for 15 mins
- Soak Moong dal for 15-30 mins and drain the excess water.Keep it aside.
- Heat the pan with oil and then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and chopped curry leaves.
- When they starts to splutter add sliced onion.Fry the onions until it gets a brownish color and then add moong dal .
- Fry it for 5-10 mins and add spinach .Fry it for 15 mins.Don't cover it.
- Palak moong dal fry is ready.
- Serve with chapathi or Rice.
