Spring Onion Gravy Recipe | North indian style

Ingredients
  • Spring onion 1 bunch
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp oil
  • 1 Tsp Mustard seed
  • 1 Tsp Cumin seed
  • 1 Tsp fennel seed
  • 1 Tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 Tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 Tsp Garam masala
  • Chopped Curry Leaves
Preparation Method


  • Wash the spring onion bunch and chop the white onion bulbs from the greens separately. Chop the white and green part finely and keep them separately.
  • Heat oil in a pan and then add mustard seeds , cumin seeds, fennel seeds and then curry leaves
  • Add the finely chopped white part of the spring onion 
  • Saute till the onion becomes translucent.And then add finely chopped tomatoes
  •  And then add salt and cook for 5-6 mins till the tomatoes become mushy.
  • Add Turmeric powder, Chilli powder, Coriander powder and Gram masala 
  • Cook this mixture for 2 mins and add 1/2 cup of water .Wait for 3 mins and add chopped green part of spring onion
  • Don't close the pan .
  • Cook the gravy for 10 mins in low flame
  • Spring Onion curry recipe is ready.Serve hot with chapati.
