kara bonda( besan pakora) | Tamil Nadu style

Ingredients
  • 2 Big Onion Sliced Thinly
  • 1 Cup gram flour
  • 1/2 Tsp Chilli powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Garam Masala
  • 1/2 Tsp Ajwain
  • 1/4 Cup water
  • Salt
  • A pinch of baking soda
Preparation Method
  1. Combine all the ingredients along with approx. 1/4cup of water in a deep bowl and mix well. 
  2. Heat the oil in a deep non-stick pan, drop spoonful of the batter into it .
  3. Deep-fry a few pakodas at a time on a medium flame, till they turn golden brown in color from all the sides.
  4. Drain on an absorbent paper. Keep aside.
