Tips for cooking rice using pressure cooker

Ingredients

  • I cup Rice
  • salt as needed
  • 1.5 cups of water
  • 1 Tbsp oil (optional)
Preparation
  1. soak rice for 15 mins
  2. In pressure cooker add soaked rice with oil,salt and 1.5 cup of water
  3. Close the cooker with lid, do not put on the weight yet.
  4. After steam is visible (will take up to 5 minutes), put the weight onto the pressure cooker.
  5. Wait until the second whistle of the cooker, at this point switch off the flame.Leave the cooker untouched for about 15 mins.
  6. Rice ready
